Neighbours’ Day is all about being together, getting to
know each other, and caring for your neighbour.
Oulu Neighbours’ Day encourages you to meet and greet your neighbour. You can get together wherever - in the yard, in your home, or at one of the city’s community centres. Come and share a moment with your neighbour! Some community centres have prearranged fun events.
International Neighbours’ Day will be celebrated for the 11th time on Friday 28 May 2010. This is the largest community event in Europe, and 9 million people in 29 countries (including 20 EU countries) joined in Neighbours’ Day festivities in 2009. Over 1,000 European cities and housing associations are involved in the event as official partners.
Open your door to your neighbour on Neighbours’ Day - millions of people all over Europe are doing the same!
