cultures, encouraging encounters between inhabitants of Oulu and promoting diversity.

Programme
Workshops at 12am-2.30pm:
Russian, Turkish, Indian, Romany, Sami, Assyrian and Chinese cultures
Capoeira, Taiji, Finnish folk dance
Making toys of recycled material, water tattoos and pin badges
Uudet kuviot - short films made by young people in Oulu
Behind the Scenes - photo exhibition of making the short films
Festival at 3pm-4.30 pm:
Guest speakers Fatbardhe Hetemaj, the refugee woman of the year 2009, and Rainer Friman, Romany artist and journalist
Extracts of Romany play and music
Finnish folkdance
Thai dance
Assyrian dance and music
Maranatha group of African singers
